POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare finished orders for deliveries in an orderly fashion by location of route. Operate delivery vehicles safely to transport goods, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries. Load and unload items with care, verify orders, and obtain necessary confirmations. Maintain a clean driving record, perform vehicle checks, follow safety protocols, and assist with general warehouse organization and communication.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport goods to customer locations.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring products are secured and handled with care.
  • Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Deliver items according to assigned routes and time schedules.
  • Obtain delivery confirmations and customer signatures as required.
  • Follow all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, warehouse staff, and customers.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license (CDL may be required depending on vehicle).
  • Clean driving record and familiarity with GPS and routing tools.
  • Prior delivery or warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs or more) and perform physical tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and a team player.
