About This Opportunity:
The Software Transition Support Agent plays a critical role in designing, developing, testing and delivering unmanned maritime systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and a deep understanding of both traditional and emerging unmanned underwater technologies and their operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to a committed team of engineers and developers that create solutions for mission-critical, globally deployed systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:


  • Regularly participate in various agile ceremonies with project vendor teams and Product Owners, including organizing and facilitating sprint close outs.
  • Work with Product Owners to create standardized outcomes across multiple vendor teams within an agile development environment
  • Work with customer and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in development and delivery processes and assist with implementation of continuous improvements
  • Manage and review updates to system user guides and procedures
  • Assist with preparation for Program Increment Planning for a geographically distributed team and coordinate with leadership and stakeholders to identify and clearly communicate priorities
  • Perform issue decomposition and epic tracking requiring cross-vendor development for multi-platform systems, including enforcing backlog standards, writing acceptance criteria, writing test plans/procedures, and contributing to design documentation
  • Manage development sprints for multiple vendors
  • Respond to development tool access requests and configuration requests





Must Haves:


  • Experience providing oversight and management of development and testing support for delivery of software to military customers, specializing in software management and user interaction design.
  • Experience supporting software efforts using collaboration tools (at a minimum Jira and Confluence), including managing tool configuration and user access and permissions.
  • Experience in creating, documenting, and maintaining technical product roadmaps (including capability decomposition, and tracking) for ACAT DoD Acquisition programs.
  • Experience with operations and support of unmanned maritime systems.
  • Familiar with modern software development processes (including agile best practices - no specific framework experience/certification required)
  • Preferred experience as a Release Train Engineer, scrum master, product owner, or member of a high performing development team, or as a participant in organizations that employ multi-team development collaboration frameworks. This includes facilitation of planning meetings with multiple teams.
  • Familiarity with user guide and procedure development and management
  • Experience designing tests to validate features delivered by multiple development teams
  • Experience collecting tests results, writing test reports, and generating problem reports for development teams.
  • Experience reviewing developer-provided root cause analysis on problem reports and generating follow-on tasking.
