Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture is searching for a Sr. Business Manager!

Salary Grade: T25

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Associate Director of Finance & Administration, the Senior Business Manager provides direct financial support to the faculty, staff and students of Tyler by managing the school's budget, processing business transactions, generating financial reports, and providing financial guidance. Tyler is looking for a candidate who can communicate financial principles in a creative environment and who thrives in a high-volume office. The Sr. Business Manger processes business transactions, including but are not limited to, creating purchase orders in TUMarketplace, hiring adjunct faculty and student workers in Taleo, processing graduate appointments and tuition remission, and approving payroll. The Sr. Business Manager is also responsible for managing the school's funds and providing financial reports to faculty and staff who oversee those budgets. This includes running and distribution of Cognos reports and preparing analysis of spending in Excel. The Sr. Business Manager works with the Associate Director to ensure the school's budget is on target and that fluctuations in revenue are reflected in account allocations. The Sr. Business Manager in conjunction with the Senior Facilities Manager oversees the operations of the Architecture building. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree
* At least 3 years' experience in a business role.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Preferred Education and Experience
* Experience with RCM budgeting
* Pre and post award grants administration experience
* Demonstrated proficiency in Banner.
* Experience working in a Higher Education environment.

Required Skills and Abilities
* Exceptional customer service orientation
* Strong organization, communication, analytical and decision-making skills
* Experience in payroll, purchasing, grants management, and finance.
* Advanced Excel skills
* Ability to multi-task and keep multiple projects moving forward simultaneously with attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to create and maintain financial tracking systems.
* Willingness to be self-motivated and work independently.

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
