Job Description:

The opportunity:

This position will support the Associate Director in the oversight of governance and controls for Group Valuation and assist in managing the audits, peer reviews and compliance reviews of the department. This position will manage the Model Change Management and MEUC Compliance processes for the department.

How you will contribute:

  • Departmental governance includes:

    • Manage the Model Change Management governance

    • Manage the MEUC Compliance

    • SOX Compliance

    • Central Actuarial Compliance

    • Regulatory

    • External Auditor Requests

    • Internal Controls

    • External Peer Reviews

    • Data Verifications

  • Support Internal and External Audits and peer reviews

  • Monthly/Quarterly/Yeary responsibilities including Claims Analytics, Access Reviews, Business Continuity and support of regulatory reporting for IFRS and NAIC as needed

  • Review processes and improve process controls, data verifications and efficiencies

What you will bring with you:

  • Able to work with a diverse group of people

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 3-5+ years' experience in Audit and/or Compliance, Finance or similar

  • Project management experience

  • Basic financial reporting knowledge a plus

  • Data verification and compliance experience preferred but not required

  • Detail Oriented and well organized

  • Excellent planning skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and drive improvements and change

  • Great time management skills, successful at meeting deadlines

  • Work Collaboratively with colleagues and management across the organization

  • Strength in building relationships and gaining a consensus for improvements and change

Salary:

$93,000 - $140,400

Your actual base salary will be determined based on your unique skills, qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location. In addition to your base salary, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award based on your individual performance as well as the overall performance of the business.
