Job Summary:
Processes daily customer bills/invoices for delivery to USPS by the established deadlines.Operates high-speed production equipment in the commercial letter shop to process customerbills. Provides guidance and instruction to leads and operators as needed.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
* Provides direction to personnel for daily print and insert operations
* Perform duties independently and with no supervision.
* Routinely interface with other departments (Customer Services, Marketing and IT), andvendors (envelopes, USPS, presort, couriers, machine maintenance) to ensure smoothdepartmental operations.
* Assist with the development of departmental requirements, preparation of work schedules,work assignments, and oversee the work product.
* Communicate with system and application programmers, operations personnel, clients, andvendor personnel.
* Monitor and manage operational workflow activities
* Track, analyze, and monitor system errors, malfunctions, volumes, and postal rates
* Conduct performance evaluations, coach and develop employees, provide employeeguidance, counsel and maintain proper documentation, as necessary.
* Develop and maintain special status reports
* Develop and update written procedures
* Participate in RFP processes
* Manage business relationships, both internal and external, and maintain a professionaldemeanor.
* Participate in department disaster recovery
* Own and maintain Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls
* Facilitate and evaluate software upgrades and/or improvements in current software andprocesses
Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Finance orAccounting is strongly preferred.
Experience:
Requires 4 years of experience in Production Operations or in a related area witha minimum of 5 years of experience in a lead role; management role is strongly preferred.Working knowledge of SAP mainframes, Linux systems, and Ricoh Process Director. Advancedknowledge of PC and PC software is required with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
