DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Supervisor of Contract Monitoring at the Department of Human Services (DHS), Office of Children, Youth and Families (OCYF), reports to the Assistant Administrator and is responsible for overseeing the Contract Monitoring Unit. The role involves evaluating, monitoring, and developing contracted services for shelter, in-home, and out-of-home services to support children and families in crisis while aiming to keep families intact. The Supervisor manages program monitoring, evaluation, management, and reporting for grants and contracted services for all OCYF programs, overseeing the Contracts Monitoring Unit. Key duties and responsibilities include participating in the development and negotiation of grants and contracted services, overseeing the monitoring of grants and contracted services, coordinating the management of child abuse and critical incidents, participating in the grants and contracts approval process, preparing data for reporting and decision making, serving as a liaison for Contract Monitoring and the development of grants and contracted services, assisting with OCYF budgets, grants, and contracts, supervising Contract Monitoring Specialists and Clerical staff, implementing an internal quality assurance program, participating in planning and monitoring management team activities, preparing correspondence and reports, maintaining records, and undertaking special projects as needed. As a Supervisor, you will interact with various stakeholders including OCYF staff, agency providers, the Assistant Deputy Director, and the Deputy Director. The role involves interpreting and ensuring compliance with goals, objectives, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations. Additionally, the Supervisor collaborates with agency staff, resolves issues, and recommends improvements in grants and contracted services. In summary, the Supervisor of Contract Monitoring plays a critical role in overseeing and managing grants and contracted services for OCYF, ensuring quality services are delivered to children and families in crisis, and working towards the goals and objectives of DHS/OCYF. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Possibly working in the field after hours for issues or emergencies.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Children, Youth and Families Program Specialist 1; or
- Three years of professional level experience in the field of children, youth and families; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
