Title: Turnaround Group Leader
Location: Freeport, TX

Salary: $116,000 - $170,500
Schedule: 9/80; 4-10

Focus: The Turnaround (TA) Group Leader serves as a key leadership resource for hourly and contingent staff, focusing on people leadership and turnaround management. This role plays a vital part in performance management and pay planning processes while driving departmental efforts in workforce accountability, productivity, work quality, and resource allocation.

Turnaround Group Leader Essential Functions:

  • Significant EH&S engagement, particularly with pre-work for Turnaround (TA) activities. Contributes to a strong EH&S culture, Process Safety Management (PSM), and safe work environment by reinforcing Olin's safety expectations, achieving all EH&S objectives, and ensuring compliance with all governmental laws and policies for Texas Operations plants.
  • Oversees turnaround support workforce; maintains strong field presence to observe daily work activities
  • Leads talent planning and workforce development of Turnaround organization.
  • Applies extensive knowledge of the Global Turnaround Methodology with a mindset of improving efficiency and driving consistency in application across the site
  • Partners with operations to ensure effective planning and execution of long-term reliability improvements and outages/turnarounds
  • Develops Front-End Loading plans to adequately staff TA Teams for $60MM to $120MM of work annually; leads 2 - 3 complex TA's annually as TA Manager in addition to leading the overall Turnaround organization
  • Works effectively with labor and service providers from the area; collaborates cross-functionally with Purchasing to help create strategic partnerships
Turnaround Group Leader Minimum Requirements:
  • Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
    • High school diploma plus 10 years of experience in relevant plant maintenance and/or plant Turnaround roles; OR
    • Associate's degree* plus 8 years of experience in relevant plant maintenance and/or plant Turnaround roles; OR
    • Bachelor of Science degree* in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred, plus 6 years of experience in relevant plant maintenance and/or plant Turnaround roles
  • Prior Olin experience in a related role preferred; experience in Turnaround Management preferred
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license
