Architectural Framing Systems (AFS) is a segment within Apogee that is a provider of aluminum windows, curtainwall (soon to be retired), storefront and entrance systems. We offer an integrated set of capabilities including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and assembly.

Our market-leading brands offer solutions for a wide range of construction project types and sizes across the U.S. and Canada. Position Summary

The Inventory Clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and organization of inventory within the facility. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory records, performing physical counts, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure timely and efficient material handling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management:

    • Monitors and maintain inventory levels.

    • Process and track purchases and changes.

    • Compiles inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supplies and need to replenishment.

    • Accurately document and track inventory movements within the warehouse.

    • Perform daily and cycle counts to ensure physical inventory matches system records.

    • Label and store inventory items in designated areas.

  • Operational Support:
    • Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed.

    • Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to resolve inventory discrepancies.

    • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

  • System Updates:
    • Input inventory data into the ERP system promptly and accurately.

    • Generate inventory-related reports as requested by supervisors or managers.

  • Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols in handling inventory and warehouse operations.

Experience & Skills

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Associate degree preferred.

  • Required Experience:
    • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management software is a plus.

  • Preferred Experience:
    • 1 year of general work experience

  • Required Skills:
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.

  • Physical Requirements
    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
