Position Summary: The Mainframe Administrator 2 is responsible for overseeing and assisting with the daily operations of the Data Processing Center, ensuring that mainframe operations run as scheduled, modifying workflows, updating software, and maintaining compliance with standards and applicable regulations. This professional provides advanced support and acts as a lead resource for the mainframe team.

This role is eligible for hybrid work from home opportunity under the work from home guidelines up to one day per week upon completion of onboarding.

Essential Functions:



  • Provide oversight to daily mainframe operations, including the activities of the data processing systems, workflows, and ensuring standards and schedules are met.
  • Act as a lead resource for the implementation of new applications along with changes or corrections.
  • Serve as a primary contact for hardware and software vendors where applicable for mainframe operations.
  • Assist with Business Recovery Plan creation and disaster recovery testing.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the business recovery plan in theory and practice.
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are well documented and current.
  • Assist with mainframe test environment(s) processes to allow for software testing safely outside of the production environment.
  • Responsible for understanding and implementing new and updated regulations applicable to mainframe and maintaining compliance.
  • Work with all branches and departments in identifying efficiencies and maximum utilization of hardware and software.
  • Ensure training plans are updated in a timely manner to account for system and process changes.
  • Assist with maintaining vendor relationships as requested by the manager and budget tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to their role. Complete compliance training and follow internal processes and controls as required.
  • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations in accordance with the steps defined in bank policies.
  • Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.


Qualifications:



  • 4-7 years of Unisys/IBM mainframe operations experience using Fiserv Premier software.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience with SMA OpCon automation software preferred but not required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and in working with other company software.

Working Environment:

Indoor work - not exposed to outdoor elements or hazards.

Occasional lifting and/or carrying up to 30 pounds.

Occasional on-call and evening/weekend work required.
