Position Summary: The Program Director will manage the Revel administrative team and related projects.
Position Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Revel administrative team & its projects:

    • Assign / coordinate tasks
    • Arrange administrative team schedule on and off campus
    • Review & evaluate team work and performance
    • Oversee planning and organization of Revel events
    • Oversee marketing efforts


  • Serve as liaison to internal departments and constituents including:

    • Human Resources
    • Registrar
    • PhD program director
    • Faculty
    • Students-advisement, review of records, etc.


  • Admissions:

    • preparing MA & PhD student applications
    • regular reporting to the Provost on applications
    • advise Deans on student admissions


  • Recruitment:

    • Organize informational sessions at YC and SCW
    • Participate in YU graduate school fairs
    • Identify contacts at other universities with Jewish studies programs
    • Visit other universities to meet with potential applicants


  • Donor relations and Fundraising:

    • Work with Institutional Advancement to develop a fundraising base
    • Work with the Deans to establish a Dean's Council
    • Assist Deans in preparing reports for Board Meetings
    • Arrange VIP events for potential donors


  • Oversee graduation:

    • review student records for graduation
    • organize year end reception
    • work with MarCom to produce graduation brochure with student bios




Experience & Education Background:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience or equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education


Skills & Competencies:

  • Must possess strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. May use other Microsoft programs as assigned
  • Must demonstrate good judgment, initiative and attention to detail
  • Must be able to effectively track time and resources to prioritize own work assignments
  • Must possess strong customer service, communication and organizational skills
  • May be required to work independently and produce quality work from conception to completion on assigned projects


Salary Range: $65,000 - $70,000
