- Routine Maintenance: Oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and other basic maintenance procedures are common duties.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of parts, organizing the stockroom, and assisting with ordering supplies.
- Shop Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including cleaning equipment and facilities.
- Basic Repairs: Performing minor repairs, such as replacing belts, hoses, or fuses, under supervision.
- Take initiative to improve skills as a mechanic.
- Troubleshooting: Assisting with identifying and diagnosing mechanical issues.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Safety: Adhering to safety protocols and wearing appropriate safety gear.
- Maintain punctuality in daily work times.
- Furnish all basic hand tools required for a mechanic.
- Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
