Description

Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking ES Field Service Technician to join our amazing culture. In this role, you will service and support financial banking customers by responding to service calls, carrying out Customer Support Programs and completing small projects. Willing to be trained in Electronic Security, Physical Security, and Preventative Maintenance.

Our technical needs include candidates trained (or experienced) in Electronics and low voltage systems, with mechanical skills for installing, terminating and programming panels and devices. Any training in Networks is a plus. Additionally, we are always looking for candidates experienced and/or certified in Software House, Lenel, Genetec, Exacq and similar product lines.

What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

  • Responds to routine and complex service calls and scheduled maintenance calls, including emergency and afterhours service calls on a timely basis; will diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and debug systems.
  • May perform simple installs and programming/testing of a variety of systems and equipment including access control, CCTV/video, intercoms, turnstiles, and intrusion/alarm systems. Act as key interface for technical support and training of the customer.
  • Uses solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Analyzes repair requirements and provide customer with appropriate solutions; completes necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
  • Completes accurate and detailed service reports for customer and Convergint to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
  • Provides technical support to end users and field labor when applicable. Proactively seeks technical guidance from more experience staff for difficult and unusual situations.
  • Stays current and informed on industry products, services, and policies.
  • Always presents a professional image of Convergint Technologies in appearance and behavior; seeks opportunities to promote the services offered by the company.
  • Executes all service calls in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations, as well as company health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for service needs after hours and weekends.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma (technical degree preferred)

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years of previous, relevant field service experience

Class D licensed or equivalent certified DMP/Verint/Parabit a plus
