The Procurement Director, Value Engineering and Program management will lead efforts to establish new and enhance existing Directs and Sites processes and capabilities supporting value engineering, New Product Introduction (NPI) de-risking and strategic program management that require cross team/cross functional coordination across the Direct Materials supply base.

This role is accountable for business partnering with various Supply Chain and Procurement teams to advance strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement and value generation.

These responsibilities include:

Value Engineering (VE):

  • Lead efforts to formulate, refine, and implement processes and tools to drive adoption of value generators across all Direct & Sites (D&S) teams.
  • Develop a framework to realize value creation opportunities with full potential (e.g shelf-life extension, waste removal).
  • Lead certain transversal value creation programs in partnership with Category, Sites team and stakeholders.
  • Lead 360 brand cost analysis to identify waste and opportunities.
  • Develop and educate others and advocate benefits of value engineering across D&S teams.
  • Ensure clear objectives alignment between Category and Site Procurement leaders for VE.

NPI / De-risking:

  • In partnership with Global Procurement Centre of Excellence Risk Management and Product leads, execute Supplier Integrated Risk Management assessment from phase IIB until asset launch.
  • Conduct initial assessment of the Bill of Materials for in scope new products to identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Organize workshop with cross functional team (sites, category team), for pro-active management and action plan definition.
  • Work with category teams to embed NPI requirements (cost, lead time, contracts) related to risk mitigation in sourcing strategies to support successful launch of new products.

Program Management: Cost per Unit Procurement Lead

  • Lead the Operating leverage/ Cost Per Unit Procurement multiyear program to help deliver improvement of cost of goods.
  • Oversee and coordinate the planning, execution, and monitoring of CPU projects to ensure milestones are met. Monitor implementation of endorsed business cases.
  • Orchestrate the effort across all D&S areas and coordinate with Supply Chain workstreams to drive a coordinated strategy and oversight of all CPU initiatives and ensure a streamlined process to avoid redundancy and drive efficiency.
  • Facilitate the engagement with stakeholders to drive business case review and endorsement.
  • Identify and mitigate risks that may impact program delivery, working proactively to resolve issues and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Engage Supply Chain and Procurement leadership as required to resolve any rate-limiting process, resources or engagement matters related to the CPU priorities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to D&S team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Serve as a point of contact for CPU-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing timely updates.

Capability Building:

  • Lead the harmonization and simplification of financial processes, alongside digitalization and introduction of relevant tools.
  • Elevate team capability by driving improvement in data quality and enhanced spend analytics and insights to support decision-making, in collaboration with the Center of Excellence and Digital Data and Analytical teams.
  • Assure any current and newly introduced practices are sustainable through robust change management practices.
  • Ensure that D&S procurement teams are executing SRM activities in accordance with all relevant policy and procedures.
  • Abreast of the leading supplier management practices across multiple industries through benchmarking and engagement across industry and relevant peer groups.
  • Provide coaching for team members and create a team environment that drives colleague engagement.

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business disciplines required, Master's degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in Procurement, ideally Direct Materials and/or External Manufacturing
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal relationship management skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to drive & implement change
  • Understanding of financial Procurement budget / analytics process
  • Previous experience in managing complex projects in a matrix organization
  • Business English is essential
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in high pressure environment, often under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to achieve priorities and tackle complex problems
