Position Summary

We are seeking a qualified college student for a internship opportunity with our land department for our Colorado divisions.

This position will assist in analyzing the purchases of new communities for Richmond American Homes. The Land Department is fast-paced, with a very deadline and results oriented culture.

The MDC Holdings/Richmond American Homes Internship program was created to allow driven college and grad students the opportunity to gain experience with a top national homebuilder. Candidates may be considered for a full time opportunity upon completion of an internship and/or graduation.

Responsibilities

    Complete financial modeling for new land acquisitions
  • Assist with drafting Letters of Intent (LOI's) and acquisition memorandums
  • Obtain and analyze due diligence materials for project feasibility
  • Research jurisdictional development and building requirements
  • Complete competitive market analyses
  • Review and summarize purchase and sale agreements
  • Build market intelligence through published research and industry news
  • Assist other internal stakeholders with land related research.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's program
  • Undergraduate candidates should have Junior or Senior level status
  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office applications
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $20.00 - $25.00/hr
  • FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
  • Bonus Type: Not eligible

This position is temporary and not eligible for benefits.
