Position Summary: This position is responsible for leading a team focused on process alignment and continuous improvement initiatives in various departments of the business in support of operational improvements. The objective of this team is to maximize operational efficiencies while mitigating risks, ensuring compliance and minimizing financial impacts to processes. This role will work in partnership with division and department leaders in a matrix environment to define and execute continuous improvement analysis and enhancements to improve enterprise effectiveness and drive the evolution of a process driven cooperative.

Position Responsibilities



  • Lead and develop a team of Continuous Improvement Analysts to conduct ongoing documentation, analysis, remodeling and implementation of business processes at the Divisional and departmental level in support of creating a process aligned organization.
  • Developing and documenting 'As Is' and 'To Be' processes, including maps and associated documentation, in compliance to enterprise process mapping standards and tools.
  • Support the corporate and divisional vision, strategic initiatives, and objectives.
  • Lead division and department wide continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with team members to identify problems, analyze information and develop/ implement solutions. Identifies barriers to success and solicits help from leadership when needed.
  • Work with Division and department leaders and solution architects to identify continuous improvement opportunities and streamline the use of process automation across the division.
  • Work with business process owners to review and optimize business rules where required.
  • Ensure that appropriate metrics are identified and aligned with agreed upon business targets. Ensure that the data supporting the metrics is accurate and transparent. Ensure that supporting reports and dashboards are in place, operational and appropriately maintained.
  • Coach, mentor, train Continuous Improvement Analysts and others regarding problem solving concepts and principles to drive measurable and continuous process improvements.
  • Selects, develops, and maintains a highly qualified and motivated team members. Provides performance evaluations, coaching, training, goal development, and conflict resolution as necessary to maintain desired productivity.
  • Assist in the development of business cases in support of identified business needs, ensure appropriate methodologies are used when gathering data to analyze proposed solutions.
  • Promote positive interaction between staff and others. Ensure customer satisfaction, both internal and external. Represent the assigned area of responsibility for cross-departmental projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with employees and customers at all levels within LCEC. Ensure smooth operations, productive communications, and effective understanding during all interpersonal contacts. Provide current and accurate information to all requesters, courteously and in a timely manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Support Storm Restoration efforts when needed. Work in emergency storm situations (i.e. hurricanes) and work long hours (>12 hours per day) for many continuous days/weeks as needed.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree in business or other related field. (Required)
  • Master's degree in business administration or Similar. (Preferred)


Experience



  • 7 Years experience in process analysis and/or business analysis. (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, redesigning and improving business processes. (Required)
  • Demonstrated experience achieving significant and measurable performance improvements. (Required)
  • Experience in business needs analysis and process mapping. (Required)
  • Supervisory or leadership role experience. (Preferred)
  • Experience in utility industry. (Preferred)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. (Required)
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills. (Required)
  • Excellent collaboration, communication and negotiation skills. (Required)
  • Business acumen skills including strategy development and deployment. (Required)
  • Ability to understand how processes flow across the department/division in addition to a broad understanding of functional areas of the business. (Required)

  • Ability to coach and mentor less experienced personnel in formal process analysis methodologies. (Required)
  • Possess ability to consult and influence across the organization while providing key facts and reasoning for recommended changes. (Required)


Licenses and Certifications



  • Six Sigma Black Belt Business Process Certification within 12 months of hire date. (Required)
