If you're a dependable, safety-minded worker with a passion for quality, we're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Operator to join their team in Hartford City, IN.

Schedule & Pay

Pay: $18.48/hour

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Rotation: 2-2-3 rotating schedule (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next)

Employment Type: Temp to Hire

Additional: Opportunities available to sign up for overtime

Job Summary

As a Manufacturing Operator, you'll support and operate extrusion and contour lines under the guidance of a qualified Line Operator. You'll assist with line changes, monitor production, stage materials, and help maintain equipment. This is a hands-on role ideal for those with at least one year of machine operation experience in a manufacturing setting. Prior plastics experience is a plus but not required. Strong attendance, safety awareness, and a team-oriented mindset are essential.

Key Responsibilities



  • Operate lines and train on additional equipment within the department
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out
  • Perform and document first piece approvals
  • Change process blades and stage resins/equipment per specifications
  • Enter production data and track resin use in computer systems
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment, filters, vacuum systems, and printers
  • Collaborate with team members and maintenance to address line issues
  • Assist during line changeovers, including stringing and pulling plastic
  • Provide break coverage and assist in training Finished Product Packers



Qualifications



  • Minimum 1 year of machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift 50-60 lbs and stand for 12-hour shifts
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of resins, additives, and extrusion line operation preferred
  • Proven record of reliability and commitment to safety and teamwork
