As the Tech Lead for our Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team, you will be leading clients in modernizing their data ecosystems using the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring a specialized team of FDEs, driving the technical strategy and implementation architecture for client engagements, ensuring project success, common architectural principles, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment. You'll work closely with clients to understand their complex data challenges and guide the team in designing and delivering impactful, cutting-edge solutions on Snowflake. What You Will Be Responsible For:
Team Leadership and Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of FDEs, fostering a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration. Technical Strategy and Planning: Define the technical vision, architecture, and best practices for designing and implementing modern data solutions on the Snowflake platform for diverse client needs. Provide hands-on support to the team, resolving complex implementation challenges. Code Reviews and Quality Assurance: Champion high standards by conducting code reviews and ensuring adherence to coding best practices for robust and scalable solutions. Project Management and Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of multiple client engagements, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and successful technical outcomes. Client Relationship Management: Act as a key technical advisor and liaison with clients, deeply understanding their business and data objectives, and providing expert guidance on leveraging Snowflake effectively. Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks associated with client projects and platform implementations. Staying Current: Continuously learn and maintain expertise in the latest Snowflake features, capabilities (including Data & AI), and emerging best practices in the data landscape.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Proven experience in leading and managing technical teams, preferably in a client-facing or consulting environment. Extensive experience designing, building, and implementing modern data platforms and solutions, demonstrating deep expertise in Snowflake. Deep proficiency in modern data transformation (ETL/ELT) processes, and robust data modeling techniques. Strong understanding of data consumption patterns, including reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and their integration with Snowflake. Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to thrive and lead effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and client-focused environment.
Desirable:
Prior experience as an FDE. Experience being a technical lead for engineering teams. Deep proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- The estimated base salary range for this role is $222,000 - $339,200.
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.
The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location.
