Job Overview:

Job Title: KidsFit Social Worker (SW)

Department: KidsFit Program

Reports To: Program Manager

The KidsFit Social Worker plays a critical role in supporting the social and emotional well-being of children participating in the KidsFit program. This position is responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual and group interventions, engaging families, and coordinating with schools and community partners to ensure holistic care.

Required:

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution (Master s preferred).
  • Current licensure (LBSW, LMSW, or LCSW) or eligibility to be licensed in the state.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with children and families, preferably in a school or community setting.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and family systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide direct social work services to children and families within the program.
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with the KidsFit team to integrate mental health support with fitness and wellness initiatives.
  • Deliver group counseling and psychoeducation sessions.
  • Liaise with school personnel and community agencies to advocate for children s needs.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with organizational and legal standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
Work Environment:
  • This position involves working in various settings, including schools, community centers, and office environments.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on program needs.
