This position reports to

Local Division Manager IEC LV Motors

Your role and responsibilities

s a key regional division management team member, closely work with the regional hub team, division portfolio leaders and front - end sales teams in the countries to define and implement the division marketing and sales strategy in Asia countries (excluding China) to deliver long - term profitable growth with a high level of customer satisfaction.
The work model for the role is: hybrid ; #LI-Hybrid
The role is contributing to the IEC LV Motors in the Asia region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
*Driving IEC LV Motors business strategy in Asia countries (excl. China), defining the best - suited go-to-market model to ensure profitable growth, operating as an interface between regional division team and Asia LSUs while cooperating strongly to maximize the entire division value chain. Leverage the localized portfolio & the global portfolio to grow Asia market.
*Taking the driving seat and working closely with LSUs in Asia countries, achieve and exceed assigned IEC LV motor orders (3rd party and internal) and GM (on orders and revenues) targets, for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives. Rigorously follow up on costs (SG&A), profit (Operational EBITA), NWC (Overdues and local inventories).
*Sales Management: maintaining and growing existing business. Developing and driving the LSUs Sales Plans with objectives, strategies and action plans. Analyzing and measuring channel partner and segment results, identifying trends, anticipating problems and putting in place actions to address issues. Driving overall effective sales improvements in Asia, providing the head of IEC LV motors markets with an insight in particular regional sales activities and together defining possible new business models.
*Establishing and leading ABB teams for best-in-class customer experience by becoming a trusted advisor for customers. Driving end-to-end collaboration between the local division and LSUs to support customers solve problems and improve customer satisfaction.
*Identifying with Area Sales Managers and LSUs possible new markets in Asia: targets accounts, markets and products for implementation of the sales strategy in this region, identifying potential new customers based on identified business opportunities and developing a sustainable business relationship. Analyzing the regional markets and competitive product landscape.
*Developing and driving sales opportunities to meet budget expectations in Asia region. Anticipating and identifying deviations and rigorously identifying and implementing actions to close gaps. Driving quarterly business reviews and organizing monthly follow up calls with LSUs.
*Managing the sales channels in Asia, potential channel conflicts with other sales channels and playing an active role in driving channel partner conversion, being responsible for account management in Asia including the IOEM coordination and aligning with the IOEM team and the GAM/SAM coordination.
*Identifying market trends, acquiring profound market intelligence and responding to them in an effective way in collaboration with Area Sales Managers and LSUs; Encouraging the Area Sales Managers to determine the market price and positions for different product lines in different markets, regions, channels, customers and LSUs.
*Leading, motivating, inspiring and supporting our team of experienced professionals and self-driven Area Sales Managers by driving change, supporting one level up thinking, promoting continuous improvement and the adoption of new work methods in line with ever changing market demands and practices.

Qualifications for the role
  • 8 years of managerial experience in marketing & sales as a minimum.
  • Hands-on sales experience of Motors is preferred.
  • Experience and understanding of Motors, Mechanics, Automation & Digitalization solutions for industrial applications.
  • Thorough understanding of customer base and channels in Asia.
  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Technology and/or Project Management.
  • Strong entrepreneurial, interpersonal, negotiation collaboration, and communication skills with customers and co-workers are critical.
  • Strong written and oral English skill as a must.
  • Flexibility for business travel (above 30%).
