Now Hiring: Human Resources Specialist - University Health Physicians

Are you an organized, detail-oriented HR professional who thrives in a collaborative environment? University Health Physicians (UHP) is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to support the full employee lifecycle and contribute to the success of our dynamic HR team.

In this key role, you'll serve as a trusted resource for employees, handling everything from onboarding and benefits administration to compliance reporting and visa coordination. If you enjoy meaningful work that touches every part of the employee experience, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, benefit enrollment, and offboarding processes.

  • Collaborate with leadership and the Executive Staffing Manager on physician onboarding, employment agreements, and compensation changes.

  • Administer leave programs including FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and COBRA in compliance with applicable laws and policies.

  • Coordinate annual review processes for UHP providers and facilitate open enrollment activities.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure timely reporting and document distribution.

  • Manage visa compliance, including working with attorneys and processing related documentation.

  • Support departmental initiatives, audits, and compliance reporting (e.g., OSHA, Affirmative Action Program, annual notices).

  • Assist with employee engagement activities and events to support a positive workplace culture.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of experience in an HR administrative role, including direct experience with benefits administration

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and adapt to shifting priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree in Human Resources or a related field

  • Healthcare industry experience

  • Experience with HRIS systems
