Responsibilities

As the Intake Specialist, you'll be the friendly face and warm voice that greets clients and their families when they arrive at Newport Healthcare. You'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our Admissions Department and Program Staff, ensuring that every client feels right at home from the moment they step through our doors.

Your Adventure Awaits: Here's what you'll be doing in this exciting role:

  • Welcome Wagon: Be the first point of contact for clients, making them feel acknowledged and engaged as soon as they arrive.
  • Rapport Builder: Establish meaningful connections with clients, families, and professionals-your charm will create a welcoming atmosphere!
  • Intake Guru: Facilitate all intake activities and coordinate face-to-face assessments, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable process.
  • Paperwork Pro: Collect and verify all admissions-related paperwork, making sure everything is accurate and ready to go!
  • EHR Wizard: Generate Electronic Health Record (EHR) charts for new admits-your attention to detail will shine here!
  • Tour Guide Extraordinaire: Conduct fun and informative tours of our facility, showcasing all the amazing services and resources we offer.
  • Client Acclimator: Help clients settle into their new environment, answering questions and easing any concerns they may have.
  • Support Squad: Lend a hand to the Admissions Department with over-the-phone assessments as needed-teamwork makes the dream work!

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or high school diploma and two (2) years of customer service experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years' experience in Admission and/or behavioral health preferred.
  • Two years residential treatment or inpatient experience preferred.
