A position is open for a full time Research Technologist I at the MGH Cancer Center in the Bar-Peled lab We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, and organized individual to support the research endeavors of this group. Three or more years of directly related laboratory experience specifically chemical proteomic sample preparation, showing greater responsibility and independence.

The Research Rechnologist will be in charge of overseeing chemical proteomic operations in the Bar-Peled group. Duties include organizing chemical proteomic sample preparation, preparation of samples (including tissue culture and patient sample preparation), running of samples and data analysis. In addition maintenance and operation of a Bruker Tims Toff Ultra mass spectrometer and generation of data independent analysis (DIA) data sets.

Synthesizes and interprets information obtained from graphs, charts, laboratory experiments, statistical summaries and other data collection methods in order to develop new investigative techniques and/or to determine the most appropriate direction of research.

Prepares written reports on status of research, determination of technical procedures, sequence of operations, including statistical and graphic summaries of findings and possible conclusions. Collaborates with supervisor in writing and editing material for publication and may appear as principal or secondary author on publications.

Onboards and orients new technical staff and oversees the duties of the current Technician I and Technician II's.
