Primary Duties:

• Must be able to bend conduit, pull wire, read blueprints, troubleshoot circuit, install, and connect motors, switches, receptacles, electrical panels and lights, conduct assigned preventive maintenance of electrical circuits.
• Assist Master Electrician for monitoring hospitals emergency and normal power sources and for testing emergency generators monthly. Conducts assigned Preventive Maintenance on all electrical power systems and equipment.
• Repairs electrical circuits by replacing defective wiring and components in accordance with the current National Electrical Code.
• Install new wirings, electrical components, mounts motor, fixtures, and other electrical equipment in accordance with the current National Electrical Code.
• Basic Knowledge of the Fire Alarm System. Assist Master Electrician to Operates and maintains on Hospital Critical Equipment: Switchgear, UPS Flywheel, ATS Switches and Generators. Knowledge of programmable controls preferred.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of acceptable training.
• Demonstrated competency in board areas.
• 3-4 years' experience.
• Journeyman Electrician - JOURELEC Journeyman Electrician license.
