The Registrar Support Manager is a front-line, customer-oriented, diverse position. Counsels campuses and students concerning academic regulations, policies, official evaluations and specific degree requirements. Responsible for providing student services and support pertaining to Registrar operations which include analysis, research, and processing for all aspects of administrative and academic matters, from matriculation through graduation. In accordance with University policies and procedures and accreditation agencies rules and regulations, assists campuses and the Online Learning division with the evaluation of prior learning and experience to award appropriate graduate and undergraduate credit toward fulfillment of degree requirements.

The Registrar Support Manager is required to work independently, manage multiple projects and prioritize additional tasks on a daily, if not hourly, basis. Must maintain student records to ensure compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Comission on Colleges (SACS-COC). Must adhere to regulations mandated by Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Support excellence in students services at every opportunity.   • Communicates extensively with students and Worldwide campuses through email and telephone to solve various issues and concerns on a daily basis. Responsible for counseling students on degree curriculums, academic regulations, graduation requirements, procedures, policies and the interpretation of the official evaluation form. Responsible for counseling appropriate ERAU personnel on individual evaluations of incoming students for credit completed and courses students wish to complete. Requires a broad base knowledge of all procedures and policies; ie withdrawals, registrations, grades, matriculation, transcripts, evaluations and graduation.
  • Evaluates all course work completed at other U.S. and foreign postsecondary institutions, previous experience, military and civilian training, certificates and credit-by-examination scores to determine authenticity and to determine equivalency to ERAU courses and applicability to ERAU degree programs. Performs other miscellaneous evaluations in response to military, Veterans Affairs, Inter-Campus transfer and many other various requests, such as the closing of a center. Matriculates and updates the students records after awarding post-secondary credit. Responsible for accurate coding of degrees, minors, and specializations in the student information system. Assists with preparation, review and correction of Nation Student Clearinghouse reporting data.
  • Responsible for the dissemination, security and retention of student records in accordance with University Policy and Federal Regulations (FERPA). Creates and issues student personal identification numbers(PIN #'s) for accessing ERAU On-Line WEB services. Responsible for Intra-University Transfers including verification of Cumulative Grade Point Average(CGPA), determination of eligibility, transfer of student records and campus notification.
Qualifications

  • 1 - 3 years of experience

Required skills, knowledge, abilities:

Bachelor's degree preferred, or appropriate degree progress and applicable work experience in a post-secondary setting. Analytical skills with an in depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications. Experience with Campus Solutions and imaging systems strongly preferred.
