MINIMUM PAY RATE:$17.27 - $18.31 hourly

POSITION SUMMARY This position will serve to assist in the support of technology resources for the department. Proctors and provides technical support for computerized examinations This position requires knowledge of common desktop and mobile operating systems. Must have ability to identify and solve problems, and able to handle challenging support situations. Participates in the installation, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of computer equipment. Works closely with Nursing Department faculty, staff and students at various levels to support departmental goals. Provides quality support with high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. Evening and some weekend work is required. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Assist faculty, staff, and students with use of computers, technical equipment, software, internet and intranet resources as well as with computerized testing via the multiple application platforms. 2. Troubleshoot computers, displays, laptops, printers, projection systems and other peripherals (including phones), determining if the problems are hardware, software, network, or user based. 3. Research and coordinate updates, patches, repairs, and preventative maintenance as needed. Create Help Desk ticket as necessary. 4. Assist with scheduling and calendaring the testing labs. 5. Assist with proctoring needs and perform related duties as assigned. 6. Conduct day-to-day support of technology systems via phone, email, walk-in, and desktop visits for faculty, students, & staff. 7. Maintain physical and logical security and safety in the computer lab environment including monitoring open labs. 8. Develop and maintain process documentation. 9. Maintain and Clean lab equipment as assigned. 10. Document complaints, inquiries, and other concerns, and propose solutions to promote a culture of continuous quality improvement. 11. Participate in staff meetings, in-services, and trainings as may be required. 12. Participate in the goals and objectives of the College and department. 13. Participate in meetings and committees as assigned. 14. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence. 15. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Two (2) years of recent experience working with PC and Apple hardware and software. 3. Excellent customer service skills; strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability and willingness to work cooperatively with a diverse population. 4. Attentiveness to detail, excellent organizational skills, initiative, and multitasking. 5. Experience with word processing and spreadsheet software. 6. Ability to handle confidential information and prioritize duties. 7. Extensive personal computer skills and a thorough knowledge of several software applications; Strong Microsoft Windows troubleshooting abilities. 8. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence. 9. Associate's degree in Computer Science or closely related field. 2. A+ Certification. 3. Extensive knowledge in MS Office or similar training. 4. Five (5) years of related technical experience. 5. Experience with traditional and non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds. 6. English and Spanish verbal and written communication proficiency. 7. Demonstrated multicultural competence. 8.
