The Position

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for directing the product transfer, production support, process improvement initiatives, process automation, lean initiatives within instruments operations.

The Opportunity

  • Lead a group of technical individuals to ensure technical product transfer in a timely manner.

  • Participate in core team meetings and understand marketing requirements to ensure successful product launch.

  • Provide guidance to the technical community within operations on managing production related issues, find opportunities for improvement and timely root cause analysis.

  • Work on complex problems or process improvement initiatives by leading and/or participating in a cross functional team.

  • Exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Ensure budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.

  • Direct departmental staff including: interviewing and hiring staff, providing performance feedback and reviews, counseling, developing, rewarding, completing progressive disciplinary and terminating.

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another appropriate discipline required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment development, requirements development and creating manufacturing processes.

  • Direct, proven accomplishment in the management of complex instrument, software or system applications development.

  • Experience in product development in a regulated environment a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills including the ability to develop and follow written procedures, document work accurately and guide others in the same.

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.

  • Well-developed managerial skills including budgeting, planning and scheduling.

  • Ability to organize, lead and evaluate the work of other personnel required.

  • Ability to develop, coordinate and implement multi-level individual and team-based projects.

  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson, Arizona is 93,500 - 173,600.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
