Job Description

NetImpact Strategies is seeking a highly organized IT Project Manager to support the execution of IT Operations Services for a federal-civilian customer. This role focuses on project coordination, scope management, scheduling, stakeholder engagement, and delivery oversight. The successful candidate will support initiatives across the full project lifecycle, tracking status, identifying risks, and ensuring contract deliverables are met on time, within scope, and within budget. Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies using Jira is essential, along with a strong understanding of metrics, KPIs, and project health reporting.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage project activities, scope, and milestones across IT operations initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed project schedules and resource allocation plans, adjusting as needed to align with customer priorities.
  • Track and report status, risks, issues, and KPIs using Jira and other project tracking tools.
  • Prepare and deliver program artifacts such as project charters, status reports, Gantt charts, risk registers, and communications plans.
  • Facilitate meetings, briefings, and project reviews with internal teams and government stakeholders.
  • Ensure all deliverables are completed with quality assurance checks and in compliance with contract requirements.
  • Manage project budgets, change requests, and performance metrics to meet or exceed program expectations.
  • Apply both Agile and Waterfall methodologies to plan, monitor, and close out IT projects effectively.
  • Monitor capacity and task progress, supporting task prioritization and deadline tracking without direct personnel management.
  • Support audit readiness through structured documentation and record keeping.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional experience managing IT projects in federal or enterprise environments.

  • Strong working knowledge of Jira for backlog management, sprint planning, and waterfall scheduling.
  • Experience in IT operations, DevSecOps environments, or cloud-based application delivery.
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or AWS certifications.
  • Familiarity with federal consulting and delivering contract-based solutions.
  • Understanding of AWS, cloud delivery models (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS), and enterprise application architecture.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, SharePoint, Confluence, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Previous Federal Consulting Experience
