Degree in Health Promotions or Public Health preferred.
Position Summary
The Faculty and Staff Well-Being Senior Program Coordinator is an advanced level of human resources professional. This role develops, markets, implements, and evaluates well-being programs for University faculty and staff. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Benefits, this position will help mobilize, create, and sustain campus-wide well-being initiatives to create an environment that promotes enhanced well-being for faculty and staff. The ideal incumbent will be knowledgeable and skilled at teaching varied audiences, work interdependently in a team environment, and have genuine enthusiasm for furthering the health and well-being for the University of Georgia.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

  • Administrative or project management experience, preferably in higher education, demonstrating in-depth analytical and organization skills and the ability to take multiple projects from conception to fruition. This includes setting and meeting project timelines/goals.
  • Ability to apply assessment methodologies to evaluate a program's impact.
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and ability to work under minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including using social media for marketing and group presentation skills.
  • Ability to produce high-quality printed and digital training material and marketing materials.
  • Comfortable with making public presentations to faculty and staff groups as well as attending events and promoting well-being resources.
  • Ability to teach and lead discussion in group settings.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and community partners.
  • A strong interest in supporting the success and well-being of others.

  • Develop, promote, and deliver well-being programs to the university community through various methods, including classroom instruction, workshops, webinars, electronic resources, and printed materials.
  • Ensure programming aligns with prevalent health issues within the UGA community.
  • Maintain an engaging online presence through website updates and social media, writing and editing content as needed.
  • Regularly monitor and review the well-being website to ensure program information is accurate, relevant, and up to date.

  • Oversee employee well-being programs, including in-person and virtual workshops, events, cohort programs, and vendor-supported initiatives
  • Coordinate logistics such as event planning, marketing, scheduling, room reservations, speaker and attendee communications, registration management, and post-event evaluations.
  • Track expenditures and ensure budget compliance for well-being initiatives.

  • Serve as liaison to USG system and campus partners and represent the well-being program at USG system level and campus committee meetings.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with divisions, colleges, and satellite campuses to promote well-being initiatives.
  • Develop collaborative partnerships with community organizations, university vendors, and internal stakeholders to enhance campus well-being efforts.
