Job Description

Join Our Team as a Senior Strategic Communications Associate!

We seek a creative, detail-oriented, multi-talented strategic communications professional to play a pivotal role in our marketing and communications team, helping to build engaged audiences among faculty, staff, students, alumni, and the broader community through written and visual storytelling.

In this collaborative role, the senior strategic communications associate will team up with others to produce communications that maintain brand consistency across all marketing efforts and enhance the Sinclair School of Nursing's brand, outreach, and engagement. Using expertise in designing compelling visuals and developing multimedia content, the senior strategic communications associate will support various communication efforts across digital and print platforms including:

Collaboration
* Collaborate across the Sinclair School of Nursing to understand needs and deliver impactful solutions.
* Partner with MU communications and/or other departments as needed on various projects.
* Assist in mentoring student employees and help guide their development.

Outreach
* Build engaged audiences, including students, faculty, staff, alumni, and local community members.
* Ensure design elements align with strategic and/or marketing initiatives and communicate key messages effectively.
* Design and produce mass emails for various constituencies. Maintain the mass emailing system and mailing lists.
* Track engagement through metrics and data analysis.

Digital Strategy, Digital Media, and Social Media
* Assist the director in creating and maintaining a digital strategy for social media, email, website, and digital signage.
* Create and/or recommend toolkits for best practices in social media and digital signage.
* Create compelling graphics to illustrate and promote messaging and content for digital platforms, including social media, email campaigns, and web.
* Maintain, support, and update website content, including dynamic and static pages.
* Stay updated on digital design trends and incorporate innovative ideas.

Print Media
* Develop visually appealing promotional print materials for events, campaigns, student recruitment, etc.
* Design marketing materials, including graphics for promotional materials, flyers, brochures, advertisements, press releases, and newsletters.
* May work with print production facilities to ensure designs meet production capabilities and budget.

Branding
* Maintain and enhance brand consistency across all marketing materials. Ensure all materials align with the University brand and identity standards.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

* Degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field
* Proven experience in graphic design, digital media, and community outreach
* Strong understanding of branding and marketing strategies
* Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $52,000 to $57,000 annual

Grade: GGS 10
