Mead & Hunt, an award-winning national architecture and engineering firm, has continued to exceed our strategic growth initiatives creating opportunity for our current and prospective team members. As a result, a full-time position is available for a highly motivated individual to build our aviation practice in military and federal airfield projects. This position will be based out of the greater Indianapolis, IN area and at various project/client sites as needed.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading business development opportunities to expand our aviation presence
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships
  • Identifying potential new markets and service lines
  • Creating and leading training in business development best practices
  • Assisting with proposals
  • Coordinating with Aviation and Federal Facilities Market Leaders
  • Assembling teams for specific pursuits
  • Assisting with the aviation business unit's business and strategic planning efforts
  • Providing quality control and quality assurance on proposals, project scoping, and go/no-go decisions
  • Managing projects including serving as client liaison and overseeing project teams
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Travel and a valid driver's license will be required.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Engineering, Architecture, Planning or related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, 3 of which must be in the A/E/C industry

OR

  • If no degree, must have at least 9 years of relevant marketing experience in the A/E/C consulting industry, 5 of which must be in the A/E/C industry.

The ideal candidate will have any/all the following:

  • PE license in any state
  • Experience developing an aviation practice
  • Experience preparing proposals
  • Regional aviation market knowledge
  • Project management experience
