Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Williamsville, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Liaison for gathering information for submitting loans for Closing Disclosure (CD) Issuance.
  • Collaborate with applicable parties to meet the target close date through time management of tasks and pipeline reporting.
  • Ensure accuracy of data submitted for CD Issuance, homeowners, taxes, fees, payoffs, and applicable invoices for third-party fees.
  • Assign pipeline reporting to title reviewers, review pipeline reports, and manage the title review box.
  • Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties to close a transaction, from the customer, broker, correspondent, settlement agent, loan officer, post-closing, loan delivery, mortgage servicing, mortgage accounting, funding, and co-workers, to ensure a seamless closing experience.
  • Work with various internal departments and external organizations to obtain closing-related documentation or the necessary information to complete a closing (payoffs, subordination, release, tax, title, homeowners/flood information).
  • Thoroughly and accurately review the file to ensure the loan complies with State and Federal guidelines.
  • Also, obtain verbal verification of employment on all income-qualified borrowers.
  • This also includes, but is not limited to, reviewing homeowners, flood, title, and tax-related documents.
  • Follow up on rate lock expirations and document expirations.
  • Review the system of record information to ensure that the CD can be prepared and all documentation submitted for CD Issuance is complete and accurate.
  • Proactively contact the Settlement Agents throughout the collaboration process to obtain all necessary information for CD purposes, such as fees and contact information.
  • Evaluate close dates throughout the process to ensure the process is on target to meet those dates and ensure proper communication is being done with applicable parties if the close date has to be changed.
  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls by the Company or regulatory standards and policies.
  • Maintain client internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity.
  • Work closely with Internal and External Customers, such as co-workers, borrowers, and Settlement Agents.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $18.00 - $28.11 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (12 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in client Closing and customer service.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in operating a computer with spreadsheets, word processing, and email software.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided.
  • Versatility and flexibility working within an ever-changing, fast-paced mortgage environment.
  • Ability to adapt to new policies and procedures to improve processes and workflow.
  • Ability to function within time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good work ethic, reliable, and dependable.
  • Prior Mortgage experience in Mortgage Closing, whether at a Lender, Title Company, or Settlement Agent's office.
  • Solid knowledge of the Department software.
  • Knowledge of Product, Investor, and Compliance Requirements.
  • Skilled in analytical and communication, and works independently.
