HR Business Partner (Americas)

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position works within the US People Relations Team and is a key member of the wider Americas People (HR) Management Team. Reporting to the Vice President People (Americas), the HRBP role is responsible for aligning our Americas business strategy and global People objectives with employees and management. The position formulates partnerships across the wider global People function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the culture, values, and objectives of the organization.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary focus of this role is managing and supporting the talent needs of a complex set of assigned business groups, totaling 150-300 primarily office-based employees located in Olathe, KS.
- Partners with senior leadership and key stakeholders (including internationally based leaders) to provide both strategic and tactical talent guidance aligned to the Americas strategy and global People objectives.
- Provides day-to-day coaching and guidance to line management (e.g., talent management, employee development, counseling, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions). Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. This includes conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
- As a member of the People Relations Team, analyzes trends and metrics in collaboration with other local and global HRBP team members and makes recommendations to improve the overall effectiveness of the People Relations Team.

- Works closely with management and employees to champion TVH's culture, improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention. Supports and actively engages in various internal and external community building programs across the company.
- Develops and maintains the Target Operating Model (TOM), including organizational design and workforce planning strategies for assigned business groups.
- Ensures the accuracy of all People related information for their assigned business groups in various HR related technology solutions and reporting documents. Keeps track of headcount data, maintains awareness on open vacancy recruitment, and evaluates engagement and turnover data in partnership with designated key stakeholders and their leadership teams.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition team members to establish employment terms and conditions for new hires, promotions and transfers. Coordinates internal mobility opportunities between functions which may include international mobility as needed.
- Stays current on evolving employment legislation and proactively identifies compliance risks and mitigation strategies. Partners with regional/global People Relations team members and legal or other relevant resources as needed.
- Collaborates on various People (HR) and/or Company-wide projects representing the needs of their designated business groups and key stakeholders. Acts as an in-region subject matter expert and provides advice and a local perspective on talent management strategies including HR policy guidance and interpretation.

- Ability to work onsite in our Olathe KS location a majority of the time and willingness to travel up to 10%, which may include international travel.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 10 years of overall professional HR experience with 5 years of direct experience with US talent management strategy and resolving complex employee relations issues. Prior experience with implementing and managing US employee relations and HR compliance processes and procedures is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Recent experience with Workday and UKG, our current HR technology platforms, is strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with a consultative and collaborative HRBP approach is a plus.
- Experience partnering within an HR Centers of Excellence (COE) model is a plus.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential (or equivalent) or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
