The purpose of this position is to provide clinical and clerical support for faculty physicians and to provide outreach to middle school, high school, and/or local sports teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or Physiology.
2. Nationally Certified Athletic Trainer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EXPERIENCE:

1. Two years of experience in Athletic Training.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Utilize Athletic Training skills to perform evaluation/assessment of patient.
2. Perform patient education and design/implement exercise program as indicated by physician or physical therapist.
3. Provide visit support to Physician or Physical Therapist during patient visit, including stretching and movement.
4. Develops customized treatment plans and makes appropriate recommendations for ideal steps in athlete care.
5. Coordinating with the management to maintain equipment inventory.
6. May attend sports events to provide the needed on-site care.
