Pay: $16.50/hr, plus $1.50/hr for 3rd shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Amy's Kitchen is looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join us in versatile roles that contribute to both the cleanliness and preparation of our delicious products!

As an Entry-Level Production Team Member, you may be involved in tasks such as:

Keeping Our Kitchen Sparkling (Sanitation Focus):

  • Cleaning & Sanitizing: Learn to disassemble/assemble equipment, apply cleaning solutions, and ensure everything is scrubbed and rinsed following detailed procedures.
  • Safety First: Utilize required safety gear and handle chemicals with caution, following all safety protocols for equipment operation and chemical labeling.
  • Detailed Procedures: Follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Waste Management: Collect and remove trash and recycling from production areas, the kitchen, and the warehouse.
  • Equipment Monitoring: Report any malfunctioning equipment to the team leader or mechanic immediately.
  • Quality Checks: Inspect completed cleaning tasks to ensure they meet our high standards.

Getting Ingredients Ready (Kitchen Prep Focus):

  • Following Instructions: Work closely with the kitchen team, following directions from Leads and Supervisors.
  • Equipment Operation: Learn to safely operate prep equipment.
  • Accurate Measurement: Understand and follow standard batching procedures, including precise weighing and measuring.
  • Proper Labeling: Ensure all ingredient containers are correctly labeled with contents, date, and weight, adhering to food safety guidelines.
  • Quality Awareness: Learn to identify quality attributes of ingredients (smell, taste, texture, color) and report any issues.
  • Ingredient Handling: Assist in prepping various ingredients like onions, carrots, spinach, cheeses, and canned goods.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties stated above, the employee is frequently required to walk on wet floors, go up and down ladders and stairs, use the HP hoses, handle cleaning chemicals, and work in wet and warm environments. The employee must have the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds. Must have the ability to push and pull heavy equipment such as foamers, Rubbermaid carts, depositors, pumps, etc.

Work Enviroment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and work that must be performed in high places. The employee will be working around strong cleaning chemicals and must be able to wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in conditions that may be very hot, very cold, and/or very humid. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud, i.e. tray washer, fan noise, steam noise. The work environment is subject to many of the above-described conditions on a day-to-day basis. It is essential to be able to perform all job functions while in the presence of these conditions.
