Position Summary: The Senior Production Planner plays a vital, strategic role in driving seamless, efficient production operations by crafting and executing detailed production schedules that align with broader business objectives and exceed customer expectations. This highly collaborative role is responsible for translating demand forecasts into actionable plans, optimizing inventory strategies, and aligning cross-functional resources to support on-time delivery and operational excellence.

This individual will be empowered to lead planning initiatives, resolve complex scheduling challenges, and spearhead continuous improvement efforts that enhance productivity, reduce costs, and enable scalable growth. Success in this role requires strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems-preferably Epicor ERP-as well as advanced Excel and data analysis skills to support data-driven decision-making and real-time production insights.

The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking planner with deep expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply coordination, and a passion for driving meaningful impact across the production lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in production planning or materials management within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations-experience in cable, wire, or electrical product manufacturing is a plus
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems, with a preference for Epicor ERP; Proficient in Excel and data analysis skills required
  • Proficient in inventory management, demand forecasting, and raw material/supply coordination
  • Demonstrated leadership in cross-functional collaboration and strategic problem-solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels
  • Must maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive and proprietary company information

  • Accountable for driving operational excellence by ensuring on-time delivery (OTD), optimizing production efficiency, and effectively managing labor and material variances. Develop and maintain accurate production schedules aligned with capacity constraints and SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) strategies. Ensure work order accuracy and oversee timely material availability to support seamless production flow-while promoting Winchester's culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally by leading and participating in DVS (Daily Vital Signs) meetings to identify and address value stream challenges. Serve as a key liaison between operations, engineering, quality, sales, and procurement teams to align production schedules with customer demand and ensure accurate, data-driven SIOP forecasts
  • Empowered to take ownership of scheduling decisions by setting optimal inventory levels, prioritizing production tasks, and proactively managing planning constraints. Work closely with sales, purchasing, and warehouse operations to enhance OTD performance, improve productivity, and minimize supply chain disruptions and cost variances

Pay Transparency:

Winchester Interconnect Corporation is committed to pay transparency. The pay range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000 (DOE), plus incentive compensation. Exact salary will be contingent upon your experience, education, skills, and any other factors Winchester Interconnect Corporation considers relevant to the hiring decision.
