City of Hope Orange County is transforming cancer treatment by bringing world-class expertise and specialized care closer to home. Supported by a regional network of care, our 11-acre academic cancer campus in Irvine is home to City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, our outpatient cancer center, and Orange County's only cancer specialty hospital, opening in late 2025. With the opening of the hospital, the full continuum of advanced cancer care-from prevention through survivorship-will be available in Orange County for the first time, eliminating the need to travel for lifesaving treatment. Seamlessly connected to our outpatient cancer center, the new clinical research hospital will feature seventy-three inpatient beds, advanced surgical suites, groundbreaking clinical trials, and holistic services such as rehabilitative therapy and spiritual care. This is not standard cancer care. This is lifesaving cancer care. This is Hope. We are seeking a dynamic Nurse Manager to lead the Pre & Post Op and Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) departments at both City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center and City of Hope Orange County Cancer Specialty Hospital. This vital leadership role spans both inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring smooth and efficient patient flow and coordination between departments. As Nurse Manager, you will be instrumental in optimizing patient scheduling and workflow by working collaboratively with the PAT team, the Operating Room Manager, and other clinical and operational leaders. You will play a key role in driving performance, enhancing care quality, and fostering seamless communication across multidisciplinary teams. In this full-time, Monday - Friday positon, you will oversee a dedicated team of nurses, clerical specialists, and techs guiding clinical excellence and operational efficiency across two leading cancer care facilities. As a successful candidate, you will: * Lead and manage Pre & Post-Op and PAT departments across two sites. * Ensure efficient patient flow between inpatient and outpatient services. * Collaborate closely with PAT and OR teams to optimize scheduling and coordination. * Support staff development, scheduling, and performance management * Partner with multidisciplinary teams to drive continuous improvement and patient-centered care. * Assure satisfaction of patients, physicians and other customers with care and services that are delivered. * Responsible for planning, organizing the staff schedule on daily basis to identify case needs, possible conflicts, schedules for accuracy of the department. * Responsible for direct communication with physicians and APPs in service line. * Promote the implementation of evidence-based practices in delivery of patient care. * Works with department director in financial planning for identified needs. * Participates in recruitment and maintains adequate numbers of competent staff to provide care and meet patient care standards. * Facilitate the orientation of new staff and the continuing education and professional development of existing staff. * Assure staff have current licenses, certifications and are competent to provide care. * Effectively communicate (written & oral) across the organization. * Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
