Job Title: Contracts Administrator
Clearance Required: N/A
Work Location: Hybrid; Vienna, VA (1 day a week onsite)

Alpha Omega is seeking a mid-level Contracts Administrator with 3-5 years of federal government contracting experience to support the negotiation, execution, and administration of contracts and subcontracts. In this critical role, the Contracts Administrator will be responsible for managing the full contract lifecycle, supporting proposal efforts, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders, and contributing to process improvements that enhance overall efficiency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

This position is based in Vienna, VA, with a hybrid work arrangement, and is part of the Corporate Services group, reporting directly to the Director of Contracts.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Administer and manage contracts throughout their lifecycle (pre-award, award, post-award) in compliance with FAR/DFARS and company policies
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage a variety of agreements including NDAs, TAs, subcontracts, consulting agreements as well as their modifications
  • Ensure contract compliance and assist with maintaining accurate contract records and files
  • Handle clerical and administrative tasks associated with contract management as needed, with attention to accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with internal teams (program management, finance, accounting, etc.) as needed to ensure compliance with contracts and to support client needs and company objectives
  • Communicate with customers, subcontractors, and internal/external stakeholders as needed to support contract performance and resolve issues
  • Monitor contract compliance, deliverables, and deadlines, proactively identifying potential issues or risks and escalate issues as appropriate
  • Participate in audits and contract closeout activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting the implementation of processes, tools, and best practices that increase efficiency, strengthen compliance, and support the company's growth objectives


Required Qualifications:

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree (a degree in area of relevance preferred)


Experience/Skills:



  • 3-5 years of direct experience in federal government contracting with strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations
  • Solid understanding of a range of contract types (CPFF, T&M, FFP, IDIQ, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable performing both high-level and clerical/administrative tasks and doesn't mind doing the "boring" tasks of filling, tracking and recording
  • Strong grasp of technology and ability to quickly learn new software and systems
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Works well with others, building strong relationships with internal teams and external customers/stakeholders


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Familiarity with Unanet and its contracts module.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with technology and learning new software suites
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically Excel and SharePoint


Certification(s):



  • Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or equivalent certification valued


Salary and Benefit Information:

The likely salary range for this position is $79,212 - $100,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position and could fall outside of this range.
