Title: RF Test & Evaluation Engineer

Location: El Segundo, CA
Pay Rate: $53/hr to $63/hr
Shift Timing (Day/ Evening/ Night): 1st, must be open to working 2nd and 3rd shift as needed
Duration: 12 months Contract (Possibility for extension)


Role & Responsibilities:

  • Perform spacecraft systems verification and validation through execution of automated and manual test procedures.
  • Develop simple test procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definition needed to perform the test and minimize risk.
  • Assist in demonstrating the effectiveness of test methods.
  • Assist in coordinating the manufacture and assembly of test hardware.
  • Identify solutions to basic test problems and support the development of metrology processes, methods, and tools.
  • Support development of test debrief material.
  • Participate and evaluate test performance data.
  • Review test data for accuracy, quality and/or fidelity prior to delivery to engineering functions, integrated product teams, and customer representatives.
  • Coordinate with engineering functions as necessary.
  • Prepare test reports for review.
  • Work under general supervision.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of experience with test instrumentation and/or test methods
  • 2+ years of experience testing and troubleshooting electronics equipment, hardware, and software
  • Experience in RF (radio frequency) Testing
  • Experience in Software tools such as [Insert commercial software tools that are


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to obtain a government a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Experience working with electronics products.
  • Experience working with space systems and subsystems.
  • Experience working with lab test and bench equipment.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and coordination skills.
  • Naturally follows and promotes strong values & behaviors.
  • Excellent process drive to maintain effectiveness of lean operations.


Required Experience:

  • Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2-3+ or more years' related work experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
