Entry Level Mechanical Plumbing Engineer

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for an entry-level plumbing engineer in our Wauwatosa, WI office.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing building plumbing and fire protection systems under the guidance of experienced plumbing and fire protection engineers
• Preparing plans and specifications for bidding and construction
• Developing 3D models of the building systems using Revit
• Assisting with load calculations, system sizing, plumbing and fire protection equipment selection; and attending client meetings.
• Travel and entrance onto military bases and airports will be required for this position.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• The successful candidate will possess a bachelor's degree (or higher) in mechanical or architectural engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all the following:

• Working in an engineering, architecture, or construction firm.
• Coursework in REVIT.
• Coursework in building mechanical systems such as plumbing and fire protection.
• International Plumbing Code requirements, ASPE standards, NFPA standards, and building construction materials.
• The ideal candidate will also obtain an EIT within six months of hire.
