JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Safety program management - implement tactical aspects of the site safety program.
* Work closely with employees, Site HSE Lead, Field Crew Members, Seed Technicians, Laboratory Technicians, Site Leadership, Occupational Health and Safety consultants, suppliers, or vendors
* Facilities project safety (HSE reviews, review of construction documents, planning, construction and renovation projects and work in progress audits) for small and medium scale projects.
*Provide on-the-job education and coaching on safe work practices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* BS or MS in Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or related field experience
* 5 years experience in engineering or science discipline with 3- year of experience in environmental, health, and safety roles
* Thorough knowledge of Cal/OSHA, OHST, ASP, or other HSE certifications
* OSHA 30-hour General Industry course
* Bi-lingual (Spanish) skills
* First aid/AED/CPR certified instructor
* Occupational Hygiene and Safety Technician, Associate Safety Professional, or other professional certification a plus.
