Job Summary: The Logistics Supervisor oversees the efficient and cost-effective movement, storage, and distribution of goods, ensuring smooth operations and meeting company goals by managing staff, processes and logistics schedules.

Required Education/Experience:



  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Logistics / Supply Chain Management.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be forklift certified or become certified within 3 months.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.



Preferred Skills/Qualifications:



  • Associate's degree, preferably in Logistics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Forklift Certification Train the Trainer.
  • Spanish as a secondary language.



Job Responsibilities:



  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Supervise daily logistics activities, including receiving, processing and shipping goods.
  • Ensure product handling and delivery practices meet customer expectations, and daily, weekly, monthly, andannual business objectives.
  • Support relationships with 3PL and fleet management partners, identify and document business requirements.
  • Develop strategies to optimize current logistical fleet & cost spend while analyzing usage, maintenance & repair cost.
  • Implement FIFO plan for raw materials, components and finished goods.
  • Supervise, train and motivate logistics staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Oversee the daily workflow, schedules, and assignments of all logistics personnel.
  • Conduct daily inspections, ensuring compliance and applicable federal, state, local and internal laws, regulations and policies.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts and timely replenishment.
  • Draft and distribute driver schedules, use outside trucks as needed.
  • Provide support for schedule parcel, LTL, TL domestic and international shipments, and negotiate optimal rates working alongside corporate transportation teams.
  • Schedule delivery appointments for inbound loads.
