Responsibilities

We are hiring a Change and Release Manager at Lackland AFB.

What you'll do:

Execute change management activities against the established solutions for internal and external change control functions on a largescale cyber program.

    Work closely with engineers, testers, trainers and government agency personnel to perform change management and release planning activities in support of the deployment of IT solutions
  • Supports Peraton's IT Change Management Process
  • Educates users, monitors compliance to, and continually assesses and improves enterprise-wide Change Management process, considering internal and external audit requirements
  • Services as central point of contact for all changes that impact Operations; produces up-to-date change schedules for large and varying Peraton audience
  • Offers recommendations on changes pending authorization - as appropriate, approve, modify or reject
  • Assists in the resolution of scheduling conflicts
  • Chairs the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process, provides reports for CAB review
  • Monitors metrics and drive continuous infrastructure and application improvement efforts across team to achieve SLA & KPI for Change Management
  • Production of statistics and reports to demonstrate performance of the Change Management process
  • Works with process owners and stakeholders to re-engineer processes to be simple, nimble, repeatable, measurable, achievable and continuously improved based on lessons learned
  • Suggests comprehensive metrics that can be actionable and promote positive behavioral changes; Baseline, improve and re-measure success.
  • Work with the Metrics team to deliver reporting metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Manages relationships with other process management teams to provide a consistent delivery framework
  • Work with the requirements, documentation, and training teams so process improvements are implemented, documented, and users are trained in their use.
  • Evangelizes the virtues of IT process management and create a collaborative environment
  • Enhances knowledge of the field through participation in professional organizations and self-study


Qualifications

8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, 3 years w/PhD. In lieu of degree, 12 years of applicable expeirence will be acceptable.

What you'll need:

  • US Citizenship
  • Experience with IT operations and/or service management and (Change/Incident/Problem/Configuration) experience.
  • Experience using and administering ticketing and change management tools in BMC Remedy
  • Working knowledge of MS-Office products for Windows including Word, Excel, Visio and SharePoint
  • Experience working with the Air Force on large enterprise projects
  • Good presentation and communications skills across multiple levels of the organization, including senior management.
  • Must be able to articulate messages across a variety of audiences
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate diverse geographic locations
  • Possess a good understanding of the IT infrastructure components (servers, network, storage, middleware/database, application software and enterprise solutions) and processes followed in software development and IT operations, as well some of the tools used to implement and manage them.
  • The candidate must have held prior role in IT Change Management and gained experiences in change risk assessments, running Change Advisory Board meetings, and the day-to-day running of IT Change Management process.

Certifications needed:

  • CompTIA Security + or higher (DoD 8570 equivalent)
  • ITIL V4 Foundation Certified or able to obtain after hire

Clearance needed:

  • Active Top Secret clearance required

Desired Experience:

  • Master's degree in IT, Engineering or related Technology field
  • Experience in IT Service Management or IT Operations
  • Experience in IT Change Management (including reviewing Change Requests for authorization, facilitating CAB meetings, producing Change Management metrics and KPIs, etc.)
  • Strong customer service, analytical, research, interpersonal and problem solving skills required
  • High level technical understanding of IT services and their components such as servers, networks, database/middleware, data center facilities, and software development lifecycle
  • Experience working with multicultural teams in diverse geographic locations

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
