The Role

We are looking for a VP of Pricing to maximize the profitability of our portfolio and enable our executive team to make key strategic pricing decisions in alignment with our company goals.In this role, you will be responsible for the design, optimization and implementation of Lumen's pricing strategy across our product and service offerings. You will lead a team of talented professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to gather insights, analyze market trends, and identify opportunities to enhance our market position.Successful candidates are strategic thinkers with a deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive analysis, and pricing models.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive pricing strategies that align with Lumen's business objectives.
  • Establish the strategic direction and objectives for the pricing function, including supporting the reporting and analytics needs for all revenue streams.
  • Develop, update, and maintain evaluation and pricing strategies at the market and segment level and lead efforts on product change initiatives.
  • Create an operating model on pricing strategy, using Artificial Intelligence and technology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product development, to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented and optimize revenue.
  • Provide and implement a framework for success measurement, including models to evaluate pre and post-launch strategies, discount trends and effectiveness of price changes.
  • Influence commercial negotiations with large strategic customers and oversee that maintenance of pricing for specific organizations.
  • Provide dedicated support for sales and operations leaders, focusing on initiatives that will enable improvements in planning, efficiency, margins, controls, and customer experience.
  • Communicate pricing strategies and performance metrics to senior leadership providing key decision makers with relevant pricing information, support, and recommendations.
  • Research and monitor the competitive landscape, industry trends, customer segments, and pricing best practicesto identify opportunities and threats
  • Communicate and align pricing decisions with internal and external stakeholders ensuring compliance with pricing policies and regulations
  • Lead development of pricing models, tools, and dashboards to support data-driven decision making

What We Look For in a Candidate
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving revenue growth through effective pricing strategies.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, or a related fieldrequired, MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years' experience in pricing, monetization, product management and/or revenue management within SaaS, cloud and network environments.
  • Ability to think critically, implement effective solutions and lead a team.
  • Advanced understanding of company financial measures, financial modeling, market dynamics and competitive landscape.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Experience with pricing tools, platforms, and methodologies, to include value-based pricing, subscription pricing, and consumption-based pricing.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade different audiences
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$207,022 - $276,030 in all states.
