Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
The Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research seeks to improve the health of individuals, families, and populations by understanding the problems, issues, and alternatives in the design and delivery of health care services. This is accomplished through an interdisciplinary program of research, consultation, technical assistance, and training that focuses on timely and policy-relevant questions concerning the accessibility, adequacy, organization, cost, and effectiveness of health care services, and the dissemination of this information to policymakers and the general public. |
Position Summary |
Trained nutritionist/registered dietician whose primary role is to assist with content revisions and updates to a lifestyle, primarily dietary, intervention to reduce risk for chronic diseases in adults, including those who are pregnant. Key skill sets include knowledge about healthful lifestyle patterns, especially dietary, and experience counseling across a broad range of adults of different ages and socioeconomic backgrounds. Additional responsibilities include data review/evaluation from recently completed projects and contributions to reports for these projects with a focus on the nutrition intervention. Experience with Excel and REDCap required. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize and manage work effectively, independently and collaboratively.
- Strong written/verbal communications skills. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Course work in Nutrition
Registered dietician
Experience with Excel and REDCap required. |
