The Language Support Representative will provide support and assistance for the Peer Language Support Program. This part-time position also provides direct academic support in Spanish and English in the Tutoring Center to increase student engagement, persistence, and retention.

What You Will Do
Assists with the recruiting, vetting, and hiring process for student workers for the Peer Language Support program.
Coordinates schedules, student worker timesheets, training and evaluations.
Assists with coordinating mentoring for PLS leaders across campus.
Manages student interactions through data management system, including documenting interactions with students, and maintaining accurate, organized, completed, and detailed records; develops and maintains reports as required or assigned.
Oversees adaptation and development of resources, conducts class visits, creates and facilitates workshops as requested.
Participates in designated training and/or conferences and stays up to date on departmental and institution training, processes, and procedures.
Maintains appropriate competency in Spanish and English as well as maintaining computer literacy and technology skills.
Maintains working knowledge of services offered by College personnel and departments, and assists students in fully utilizing all the resources available to them at the College.
Performs other projects and tasks as assigned.
The Successful Candidate Must Have
Bilingual - Spanish and English.
Associate's Degree.
At least one year of providing direct academic support services.
Experience providing academic support to traditionally under-served, academically at-risk and/or first-generation student populations preferred.
