Key Position Details:

  • Full time position (80 hours every two-week period)
  • 8-hour, day shifts
  • Occasional weekends - based on business needs - generally a few times per year
  • L70 union represented position

Job Description:

Performs skilled-level installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic equipment and/or systems. Key systems include, but are not limited to, nurse call, electronic clock, emergency communication, television and radio distribution, and other electronic systems as needed.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Schedules and facilitates work order and preventive maintenance completion.
    • Requests are completed to meet life safety or Engineering standard compliance for the month.
    • Time and equipment testing parameters are documented in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
    • Manager is notified of deficiencies/solutions in equipment or testing parameters.
  • Schedules and performs emergency repairs on critical life safety and non-life safety equipment.
    • Nurse call systems are maintained with spare parts available and backup systems operational.
    • Electronic and manual clock systems are maintained.
    • TV systems are operational and repaired promptly as required.
    • Overhead paging system, security cameras and monitors are operational and repaired as necessary.
  • Installs new equipment and devices.
    • Follows proper installation guidelines.
    • Ensures equipment is on preventative maintenance plan if needed.
    • Communicates installation of new equipment/device to key stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • 2-3 years related experience and/or training or

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Vocational degree

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Electrician - MN Department of Labor & Industry preferred Registered Unlicensed Maintenance Electrician upon hire
  • Licensed Boilermaker-Engineer - MN Department of Labor & Industry preferred Boilers License upon hire
  • Power Limited Certification Certified with the State of Minnesota upon hire preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment

Physical Demands

  • Medium Work:
  • Lifting weight Up to 50 lbs. occasionally, Up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Flat Rate: $40.56 per hour *This position is paid on a standard non-negotiable hourly rate. Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
