Rate of Pay/Benefits:



This is a Full-Time Support Staff position at grade 13, with an annual salary range of $47,571 to $63,428. The salary offer will be based on education and experience, in alignment with the College's compensation philosophy and the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), if applicable.

Job Summary:



An employee in this classification performs work of moderate difficulty by being responsible for dual credit program student services. Work is distinguished by the ability to support the appointed ECC Dual Credit Faculty Liaisons in their work with Dual Credit High School Instructors (i.e. onboarding, training/professional development, site visits, maintaining documentation and reporting, etc.) and supports the Assistant Dean with other aspects of dual credit program operational management and assessment/evaluation. General supervision is received by the assigned manager.



Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:




  1. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in higher education student services or secondary school counseling and a minimum of two years of experience working with dual credit programs at a secondary or post-secondary level or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  2. Good knowledge of Post-high school pathway options for students including educational/ training requirements and paths for various careers
  3. Good knowledge in academic advising regarding educational requirements and paths for various careers as well as transferability of dual credit courses to other institutions of higher education;
  4. Good knowledge of college planning steps and resources, as well as understanding of financial aid application processes
  5. Good knowledge of legislative and other state or accreditation agency policies that guide dual credit practices at Illinois community colleges (i.e., Illinois Dual Credit Quality Act, Higher Learning Commission faculty qualifications, Illinois Community College Board Administrative Procedures, etc.)
  6. Good knowledge of the National Alliance for Concurrent Enrollment program accreditation standards.
  7. Good knowledge of the stages of college student development
  8. Considerable skills in analyzing problems and developing creative and innovative solutions.
  9. Considerable skills to synthesize data, identify patterns, and use evidence to inform actions
  10. Considerable skill in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and Google applications
  11. Considerable skill in organizing work to meet established deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  12. Considerable skill in interpersonal interaction to be applied to a variety of individuals with differing education, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
  13. Considerable skills in verbal and written communication.
  14. Working skill in operating a personal computer, applicable software and peripheral equipment as well as learning and adapting to new and updated programs and technology.
  15. Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required by the department's needs.



Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:




  1. Masters degree.
  2. Postsecondary admissions experience
  3. Considerable skills in verbal and written communication in English & Spanish



Essential Duties:



Organize dual credit program outreach and communication, which includes:



  1. Assist with defining program enrollment goals and strategies
  2. Create and implement outreach plan for targeted middle and high schools
  3. Disseminate information about dual credit programs, which includes preparing and delivering presentations, meeting with small groups, and meeting with individual students and/or families
  4. Expand secondary staff awareness of dual credit program options and benefits
  5. Develop and maintain dual credit program informational materials, including ECC publications and website as well as leveraging district/school communication tools


Coordinate dual credit program enrollment processes, which includes:



  1. Establish and maintain enrollment timelines and other procedural documentation for high school partners
  2. Manage communications with district/school staff regarding enrollment processes;
  3. Monitor student completion of required enrollment steps; manage communication to students and/or district/school staff to ensure tasks are completed by established deadlines;
  4. Partner with district/school staff, ECC staff, and students to address enrollment-related problems
  5. Coordinate activities for new dual credit students such as new student orientation, welcome night, campus tours, etc.) for all dual credit programs
  6. Analyze problems/issues for potential process improvements


Monitor enrolled dual credit student progress, which includes:



  1. Regularly review available data and information to identify students needing support
  2. Partner with ECC academic advisor and/or school-based staff to assess student needs
  3. Refer students to ECC and/or high school-based support resources
  4. Ensure communication of student concerns/issues with school/district staff
  5. Analyze problems/issues for potential process improvements


Support ECC Dual Credit Faculty Liaisons and Dual Credit High School Instructors, which includes:



  1. Supporting ECC Dual Credit Faculty Liaisons to ensure completion of the following tasks;

    1. New dual credit high school instructor training
    2. Continuing dual credit high school instructor professional Development
    3. Site Visits
    4. Documentation collection
    5. Report Writing


  2. Assisting dual credit high school instructors with:

    1. Onboarding
    2. Enrollment-related processes/procedures
    3. General trouble-shooting support


  3. Assist Assistant Dean with program evaluation/assessment, accreditation, and overall operational management of dual credit programs.
  4. Maintains required training, licensure and/or certifications
  5. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and adheres to applicable privacy laws
  6. Demonstrates sensitivity, understanding and respect of diverse populations within the workplace.
  7. Maintains an understanding of the work of colleagues to effectively provide backup and/or support for co-workers during times when the division is short-staffed or experiencing an increased volume of work.
  8. Adheres to department guidelines for attendance and punctuality



Other Duties:




  1. Perform other job-related duties as assigned which pertain to the job description.
  2. Ability to work a flexible schedule which includes days/evenings/weekends as needed by the department.
