Job Description |
The Department of Social Work at
UNC Pembroke is seeking a mission-driven and relationship-oriented Adjunct Faculty - Field Placement Site Recruiter to support the growth of our
BSW/
MSW field education program in the Mecklenburg/Union County, Brunswick/New Hanover/Onslow, and/or Buncombe/Burke County regions. This part-time position focuses on identifying and cultivating new field placement sites aligned with
CSWE accreditation standards and our program's educational goals. Key Responsibilities include:
- Identify, engage, and build relationships with agencies and organizations across Mecklenburg/Union County, Brunswick/New Hanover/Onslow, and/or Buncombe/Burke County regions to serve as new field education sites.
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Field Education to assess agency fit, ensure compliance with educational standards, and formalize partnerships.
- Conduct outreach to social workers and human service professionals to recruit qualified field instructors.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach, contacts, partnership statuses, and placement details.
- Provide support for field instructor onboarding and assist in organizing training/orientation activities as needed.
- Participate as possible in occasional department meetings and planning sessions to ensure integration with broader program goal

Management Preference |
Previous experience as a field instructor, field liaison, or involvement with social work field education.
Familiarity with
CSWE field education competencies and requirements.
Experience working in higher education or with academic-community partnerships. |
