WAO/WAX Operations Manager (Dayton OH)

In this role you will provide full-spectrum OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT SUPPORT to the Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate within the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at WPAFB, Ohio.

This position includes both tele-work and government-site work requirements.

Essential Job Functions:

Assist the military and civilian project leads for the WAO/WAX Branch within the Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate (AFLCMC/WA).

This support includes response to management to develop and coordinate all project plans for military and civilian actions, Permanent Changes of Assignment (PCA), Permanent Changes of Station (PCS), requisitions, by-name-request, answer questions, interpret data, and provide background data for military and civilian requirements.

Research a variety of manpower, civilian position management, and military data to validate mission requirements.

Develop, maintain, and present monthly manning briefings and/or recommendations to leadership.

Assist in the review and tracking of documents, packages, and executive correspondence submitted for Division Director or Deputy Director signature.

Assist in developing manpower requirements that are accounted for in the directorate Acquisition and Sustainment Unit models and risk-based tiering for AFLCMC/WA.

Support the management and tracking of programmatic and award taskers and providing recommended responses for leadership review and approval.

Review standard core personnel documents and position requirements documents, prepare hierarchical and organization charts, and prepare/review/ assist in interpreting unit manpower documents for Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate leadership.

Advise management on the impacts that reclassification or restructuring of positions may have on other positions within the organization, manpower requirements, and overall organizational structure.

Respond to HR requests to present and coordinate all HR requirements across the division. Assist with various functional area organizations to maintain HR programs and establish, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with all customers

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Possess a Bachelors degree along with 10 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be in the DoD acquisition environment.

An adjudicated DoD Secret security clearance on the First Day of employment.
