Job Summary
Business Intelligence Developers are responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions that support decision-making processes within the institution. This role involves analyzing complex data sets, creating reports and dashboards, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that business intelligence tools meet their needs.
Responsibilities
Job Duty 1 - Design and develop data models, ETL processes, and reporting tools to transform raw data into actionable insights that support institutional decision-making.
Job Duty 2 - Create interactive dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate complex data trends and patterns to users at various levels of the organization.
Job Duty 3 - Perform data quality assessments and implement cleansing processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of information used in reporting.
Job Duty 4 - Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence, recommending tools and methodologies that could enhance the institution's analytical capabilities.
Job Duty 5 - Conduct training sessions and workshops for staff to promote the effective use of business intelligence tools and foster a data-driven culture within the institution.
Job Duty 6 - Monitor and optimize the performance of business intelligence systems, identifying and resolving issues that impact the delivery of data and reports.
Job Duty 7 - Document business intelligence processes, including technical specifications, user guides, and best practices, to facilitate knowledge sharing and future development.
Job Duty 8 - Collaborate with Information Technology teams to integrate business intelligence solutions with existing systems and ensure seamless data flow across platforms.
Job Duty 9 - Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Experience Six or more years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications University experience and familiarity with GT platforms: Ellucian Banner Business Objects/Crystal Reports Tableau
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
SKILLS This job requires strong business intelligence skills; ability to set development standards; strong data skills (SQL), ability to work in a team environment; skills in project management, work leadership, presentation, customer service and problem solving are required.

This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive. This role is considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position will not travel This position does not require security clearance. Grade T05 The proposed salary range for this title is $75,751 - $105,519. The final salary offer commensurate with education and experience.
